Huey Long's American Union State, the “Blue States,” claims the legitimacy of the 1936 election and leans on German arms to push back the Red advance. With Washington retaken, it now moves to cut the Revolutionary States off from the sea.
Born of the Chicago Uprising with Russian and French backing, the Revolutionary States' R.S.A. governs the Great Lakes as a federation of labor unions under a “Third Pillar” Chairman, known in full as the Combined Syndicates of America.
Fled from Langdon's crackdown, the Pacific States are the remnant of Congress and anti-Langdon governors holding a tenuous Rocky Mountains ceasefire. The smallest of the factions, they're backed by Japan and Royalist Canada.
Cut off from the capital when Washington fell, the loyalist Federal government retreated to New England, the last stronghold still flying the old flag and hemmed in by the Revolutionary States on every landward side.

Russian arms and volunteers helped the Revolutionary States seize the Great Lakes in the opening days of the war. The Soviet Union's support for a fellow revolution keeps the R.S.A. in the fight on two fronts.
Royalist Canada shelters the exiled British crown and backs the Pacific States along the northern border, its Dominion forces marshalling under the old flag for the day they sail for home. The wider British Empire still commands the seas and colonies spanning the globe, watching its former colonies tear each other apart with quiet interest.
A Red Revolution and failed elections in 1936 lead to widespread and violent riots. Despite direct orders from Congress, President Langdon and the Federal army march North against the revolutionaries. When the Federal Army is defeated, political chaos tears the nation apart.

Founder and art director of the Kaiser Cat Collective. Born in Belgium, Vincent grew up between the bunkers of the World Wars. His time traveling and working in the south of the US inspired him to come up with stories set in a Second American Civil War. These stories would later become The Divided States. Vincent is also the founder of the custom flag making company Flagmaker & Print. More about Vincent.
Jordan Penelle is a Chicago-based director. Graduated from the Flashpoint School of Film in Chicago, he went on to direct The Rival, Obligations, Changes and now works on directing film content for The Divided States.
Berlin-based filmmaker and director Marcus Jorgensen splits his time between Europe and his family home in Vietnam. Passionate about telling and sharing stories, Marcus is an independent director making original indie films, and is currently leading several projects at KCC.
Nicholas is a Ukranian-American filmmaker born in Chicago, IL. After attending film school at Flashpoint Chicago, a campus of Columbia College of Hollywood, Sihl went on to work on several short films with fellow students.
